It can even be seen in the modern world due to the rise of communes and the growing interest in gardening and outdoor living. The term "utopian" in fact, evokes images of paradise. While not all utopias have religious overtones, they often contain motifs of paradise. They are also designed to attain certain qualities and characteristics of paradise in reality.

The word paradise has numerous meanings however, they all refer to an environment or state of great beauty and pleasure. It could also be an ideal location for a certain activity or hobby. For instance golfers' paradise or an hummingbird’s paradise. In a religious context, it may refer to heaven, which is the home of the righteous after death.

The word"paradise" is used in many languages, but its origins are found in Avestan which is an ancient Iranian language. The word is pairidaeza or "walled enclosure," from the roots pairi, "around," and daeza, "wall." It became part of the Hebrew and other Aramaic scriptures, such as paradeisos. It was later was later adapted into Greek and then into Greek, where it was renamed paradise.

A place to Play

Totopia is a new addition to the Children's Museum of Sonoma County it's opening this week in their west Santa Rosa campus. It is a side-room of the popular Science and Imagination Gallery, intended for children of all ages up to 35". The exhibit space features a storybook cabin to enjoy a cup of tea with a bear and a lillypad water play area and a ball wall. There is also the flower pit, a ball wall and the Grotto.

To gain access to Totopia, players need to complete the quest chain: "A Great Discovery" and the "Totopia Tutor for a Day" (five times daily, each time), "Her Name", then "The Case of the Missing Totopia". The Totopia Island Token can then be collected.
